Byron Bay Leopard Sharks

After months of not diving in southeast Queensland because of the weather, and more recently the floods, I was finally able to go for a dive at one of my favourite places in Australia - Byron Bay's Julian Rocks.

Summer means leopard sharks at the rocks but I wasn't expecting to have such an incredible dive. Despite all of the rain and run off, we were treated to a beautiful, blue 25 to 30 metres visibility and lots of friendly leopard sharks. 

My friend and fellow underwater photographer John Natoli didn't bring his camera and was nice enough to pose for me in a few shots. Here are my favourites:
